Three kids give up their hopes for summer fun when their parents move the family across the country. The new house has been empty for twenty years, since the previous owners disappeared. The neighborhood kids think there's something wrong with the place. Even adults admit that strange things happen around the creepy old house on the corner. The Howards dismiss these as wild stories until they discover a stash of ancient weapons. And what does the weird old man across the street with his spooky warnings know? Tom, Sam, and Ruth believe that things are anything but normal. All children dream the improbable; some dream the impossible. What happens when three children stumble into the impossible? Will it bring them together, or will it tear them apart?
It’s been a hard adjustment for the Howard children, moving to Louisiana. Finding out that one of them is the Guardian, one of them is a wizard, and that one of them... is angry, because he doesn't posses the same talents and gifts as his siblings. In revenge, he tells his sister that there is no Santa Claus, but in a house where anything you can imagine can become real, it turns out to have unexpected results.
